Business Development Manager – Corilla
Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: The factory is in Bridgend, South Wales. However, the role could be managed remotely, but the candidate would be required to attend the factory on a weekly basis.
Reporting To: Executive Chairman
Company Overview
We are a privately owned, innovative plastics rotational manufacturing business based in South Wales. Our commitment to quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction drives us to deliver industry-leading products and solutions. We currently manufacture products for trade customers (including a number of OEM businesses) and our own proprietary products in the construction sector (eg mortar tubs), marine sector (eg navigation buoys) and pet equestrian sector. However, we are keen to move into other industry sectors via new product development.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role focuses not only on driving aggressive sales growth but also on leading the end-to-end development of new products – from research and development through design concepts to successful market launches.
This is a new position within the company and therefore offers an opportunity for the right person to shape the position and contribute strategically.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales growth at healthy margins.
- Drive the identification, research, and development of new product opportunities in line with market needs and trends.
- Lead the product development lifecycle, collaborating with design and production team to bring concepts to fruition.
- Launch new products to market, managing timelines, budgets, and go-to-market strategies effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Present and promote the company’s products and services to prospective clients including OEMs.
- Ability to project manage the manufacture of new tools/moulds.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven track record of growing sales in the plastics industry.
- Experience in bringing new products to market, including research, design, and launch phases.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a focus on delivering results.
- Excellent IT skills in terms of creating insightful sales reports, impactful client presentations and drafting engaging proposals.
- The right person needs to have a can-do attitude and constantly look for opportunities in terms of new products but also new plastic manufacturing processes.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of rotational moulding processes and applications.
- Experience with plastic products tailored to the construction and marine sectors.
